A Good Kind of Tired

Last Saturday, my alarm went off at the very uncivilized hour of Oh-dark-early. The incessant screeching from my smartphone at 3AM was even more annoying than usual. Perhaps my having gone to bed past midnight had something to do with it? With considerable effort, I pushed myself out of bed, splashed some cold water on my face in hopes of reviving myself to an acceptable level of consciousness, chugged a cup of coffee for good measure, then quickly grabbed a fistful of nails, a hammer, and got busy. My Story (so far)

What might seem odd, after having published 42 posts, is to be writing something entitled “My Story”.   Since I wasn’t clever enough to have made my last post The Answer To The Ultimate Question Of Life, The Universe, And Everything, I decided it was high time to write a short biographical, with all the interesting bits in one place.  You see, lately I’ve been joining various online groups — mostly MS-related — and I am finding the redundancy of “introducing” myself over and over again to be incredibly tedious.  The future plan?  Point ’em to this tell-all page.  Brilliant! The 6-month Habit

Last night, as my fellow Americans enjoyed the Independence Day festivities, I achieved a personal milestone:  I took my 180th injection of Copaxone.  I’ve been on this treatment now for 6 months (due to my rough start, only about 5 1/2 of those 6 months have been continuous).  When I first started this journey, I would never have imagined that I would be able to write about this minor “victory” today!  Continue reading
